One complication with post filtering is it can't be assumed users will always use criteria in a place that will visit a filter as this isn't necessarily the case. Some users know the way to deliberately bypass filters, which makes them worthless, and when we create a filter overly broad, more articles are filtered than warranted. This generates more frustration for users and much more work for us while we'd like to avoid over-moderating.
