In our conversation with the remaster developers from hgdgsvhgvuj's blog

The remastering of Diablo is coming from both Blizzard Entertainment and the developer Vicarious Visions. The latter has previously worked on D2R Ladder Items The Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy remake and in 2021's Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 1+2. The studio has a good history when it comes to modernizing classic games. Along with being in charge of the remaster, Vicarious Visions is also involved in the process of taking Diablo to consoles, which marks the game's first appearance away from PC.

"Diablo has not been released to consoles, therefore there were many interesting takes on our end on how to go about things," [speaker name] told us. "When we approached how to create a console port an issue that was common was the fact that you do not have a mouse. So how do you tackle the character's movements and utilize various abilities and different targets?

So, Vicarious Visions has a lot of experience with consoles which made us more adept when it came to tackling the technical issues. We combined our understanding and ways of synchronizing with the work we've been doing in Diablo as well as the expertise Vicarious Visions knows. So, that was always an amazing relationship between how we came together , and how we built Diablo: Revival on consoles."

Does This Remaster replace The Original Game?

In our conversation with the remaster developers, we spoke about the numerous lessons learnt from the production of The WarCraft III: Reforged, which came out to a mixed reaction from the players. The majority of the fan displeasure with WarCraft III: Reforged came from Blizzard making use of the remaster to replace the original game on Battle.net and thus, it was the only option to play the final strategy game in the WarCraft series.

In our conversation with Blizzard the studio revealed that they're planning to keep an original copy of Diablo on Battle.net, which will be accessible alongside the remake. While Resurrected will maintain the original game's visuals as well as gameplay in its traditional mode D2R Ladder Items Buy, players who are still used to the original can opt to use the old version instead.
