A few days ago, Blizzard released a survey in which they asked players for their opinions on the future of World of Warcraft Classic and how interested they would be if certain events occurred within the game.
Numerous variants are dealt with in this survey, but the most popular of them all suggests a fresh start for all players in The Burning Crusade, with no possibility of transferring data from the vanilla game to the new installment.
We will almost certainly learn more about the future of World of Warcraft Classic at BlizzCon in February, but let's speculate a little bit about what Blizzard plans to do with this retro version of the game in the near future, before then happens.
The fate of World of Warcraft Classic is uncertain.
It is likely that Blizzard is considering a number of different options at the moment, as it is unclear which one would be the most well-received by players.
The company could first and foremost keep World of Warcraft Classic and Vanilla separate, with neither receiving any further updates nor changing their state for the foreseeable future.
This may be profitable for a short period of time, but the number of active players will decrease as they become bored with doing the same thing over and over again. In the long run, it appears that this was a bad decision.
A standalone expansion of World of Warcraft Classic that includes all of the features of the legendary content, on the other hand, could be added by Blizzard. As a result of this decision, WoW Classic will continue to be available in a kind of perpetual loop for all players who wish to continue to enjoy that experience.
The company could also make full use of the content of The Burning Crusade and attempt to persuade the vast majority of World of Warcraft Classic players to migrate to this new stage and start over. Many players will, of course, be interested in purchasing wow classic gold from the start in order to recover their levels as quickly as possible after the migration, which would not pose a significant problem for Blizzard in the long run.
In preparation for the inevitable Chains of Domination (Patch 9.1) update, which will be released later this year, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is undergoing more significant changes. With BlizzCon just around the corner, players can expect to see teasers for the upcoming major update as the annual gaming convention kicks off this week in Anaheim, California.
The Public Test Realm (PTR) was the site of a recent balance patch, which was announced by Blizzard earlier this week. Registered players can test out the potential game changes by registering for an account on the Public Test server. This allows players to report any potential bugs or gameplay feedback before the patch is released to the general public. Within the scope of the extensive gameplay changes that will be implemented to the current player classes and in-game covenants, a massive mechanic that has been absent from World of Warcraft's end-game scenes will be reintroduced – Valour Points.
The following is a quote from Kaivax, a Blizzard US forum moderator: "Items and Rewards • Gear obtained from Mythic Keystone dungeons can now be upgraded with Valor, a new currency earned by completing Mythic Keystone dungeon and covenant Callings."There is a limit to the amount of Valor that can be earned each week, and gear that was dropped prior to the patch cannot be upgraded. Items with a level of 200 are considered to be at the beginning of their upgrade path. In order to obtain the Keystone Explorer achievement, you must complete all eight Shadowlands dungeons at Mythic 5 or higher within the time limit. o 207 Item Level: This item requires the Keystone Explorer achievement, which can only be obtained by completing all eight Shadowlands dungeons at Mythic 5 or higher.
