World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Devs Weigh in on Loot Boxes

The year 2017 saw the rise of loot box gaming system in large quantities. In the last few months, Shadow of War implemented the purchase of items as a method to purchase Orcs and weapons. EA addressed concerns of players about the system with the release of Star Wars Battlefront II. However, the main argument against the system tends to be on players who do not have time to spend on games to WoW Classic SoD Gold earn more rewards. In a sense it is possible that loot boxes bring the game to a level playing field

World of Warcraft Season of Discovery, like the previous games in the series is about killing massive creatures over and over and then cutting into them for the chance to find rare components to transform into new gear. Therefore, loot boxes appear to be something Capcom might have thought of as a means of giving those who are new to the series greater chances to acquire some rare stuff which otherwise would require lots of luck and ability.

GS News Update: World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Devs Take a Look on Loot Boxes

In a recent preview event, I asked World of Warcraft Season of Discovery producer Ryozo Tsujimoto if the team had ever considered the possibility of adding loot boxes in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery. "I believe this is because World of Warcraft Season of Discovery has already created this kind of random and item-based reward into its game's gameplay," he answered. "Whenever you cut the monster following a hunt it is impossible to exactly what you'll find within a particular distance. You've got some rare parts that you'll never see. You've got a few of the ones that you don't require and you can get lots of. Then there are the rewards you earn for WoW Classic SoD Gold for sale completing the quest, too. There are some rewards that are commonplace, but there are others that are random with a greater or less chance of obtaining the rewards."
