This mode is said to be focusing on one character, a promising player dubbed Alex Hunter. In the role of Hunter is the player, the player has the option of choosing one from the 20 English Premier League clubs, and is expected to become an in-demand player in the team's roster, and then with the goal of achieving success. To make things appear more real, FC 24 will be accepting managers from the entirety of Premier League clubs, meaning that Hunter will have the opportunity to work with the most well-known managers in the game. The general expectation is for the new EA Sports FC mode to operate in a similar manner to the story modes in The NBA 2K series, with activities on the pitch helping to change the way that Hunter's story is told.

Fans who prefer the more traditional EA Sports FC game were also treated to an advertisement for their troubles. The trailer promises that players can "own every moment of the game," FC 24 is going get an overhaul to the physical aspect of play along with the active-intelligence system that will allow off-the-ball plays and innovative attacking strategies.
