As was the case in previous WoW Classic expansion from hgdgsvhgvuj's blog

September 26 could be the day that players finally enter the newly created continent Northrend and take on all the forces of WoTLK Gold Lich King, however the expansion's pre-patch will actually bring the possibility of a limited-time event, new class changes along with new Wrath of the Lich King servers for those who want to play as well as the brand-new Death Knight hero class several weeks before the expansion's release. Blizzard hasn't yet revealed the date the patch will land or how long it will last, but information should be available soon.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic will run with the latest patch of The original Wrath of the Lich King although it has some slight changes. There will be no automated dungeon finding tool, for first of all, and it's unclear if the game will include quest tracking at launch either.

In an official press release, Blizzard confirms it will offer paid-level 70 character boosters as well as optional cosmetic items for Wrath of the Lich King Classic but hasn't yet revealed what the things will be. Blizzard has done something similar with the release of Burning Crusade Classic, offering a $70 digital deluxe edition which included a character boost along with a unique mount. It also included 30 days of gaming time and much more.

As was the case in previous WoW Classic expansion launches, Wrath of the Lich King Classic is available without cost with the monthly monthly membership, which grants users access WoW Classic servers and WoW Classic, the most modern version of the game.

The new expansion for the modern edition of WoW, Dragonflight, is set to be available before the end of the year, and will include a brand new continent, class, as well as improvements to the game's talents and profession systems.
